Youth Programs

Ages 4-7

Our Youth Programs are designed to meet young dancers where they are! Dancers can explore multiple styles through combo classes such as Ballet, Tap & Jazz or Acro & Hip-Hop. As dancers get a little older they can also begin choosing individual styles including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, acro, and musical theater.

Some of our classes overlap in age range, allowing us to find the best fit for each child. Five-year-olds, for example, may be ready for either a 4–6 or 5–7 class depending on their readiness and classroom experience. If you’re not sure where your child belongs, we’re happy to help!

Ballet/Tap/Jazz Combo

Dancers build grace and technique through ballet, rhythm and musicality through tap, and energy and expression through jazz—all in one fun, well-rounded class.

Acro/Hip-hop Combo

Acro & Hip Hop is an energetic combo class for ages 4 - 7 that blends beginner tumbling skills with fun hip hop movement, helping dancers build strength, coordination, confidence, and performance skills.

Dancers can also choose one style or the other

Single Style Classes

Dancers ages 7 & up can choose individual classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-hop, Acro/Tumble & Musical Theater. Ballet for grace and technique, Tap for rhythm and musicality, Jazz for energy and expression, Hip-Hop for style and movement, Acro for strength and tumbling skills, or Musical Theater for performance and storytelling.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: What if my child is shy or nervous?

A: That's completely normal! Every child adjusts to a new environment differently, and our instructors are experienced in helping young dancers feel comfortable and confident at their own pace.

While most dancers are ultimately more successful once they are able to participate independently, we understand that the transition looks different for every child. We typically take our cue from each family. Some parents prefer to encourage independence from day one, while others may choose to stay nearby or accompany their dancer initially as they become comfortable with the classroom environment.

Our goal is to help each dancer build confidence, trust their instructors, and develop classroom independence in a positive and encouraging way. For some dancers this happens on the first day, while others may take a few weeks to adjust—and that's perfectly okay. We will work together to find the approach that best supports your child.

Q: What is the Christmas Showcase?

A: Our Christmas Showcase is a fun and festive opportunity for dancers to share a little Christmas Routine they will work on in class starting in October. During the final 15 minutes of their regularly scheduled class, dancers will perform a short holiday routine for their guests. Dancers are invited to wear their favorite Christmas outfit, holiday dress, or even Christmas pajamas, depending on the theme selected by their instructor. For the 2026 season, the Christmas Showcase will take place during regular class times December 12–17, 2026. It's a wonderful way to celebrate the season, build confidence, and give dancers an opportunity to perform before recital season arrives!

Q: What if my dancer misses a class?

A: No worries! Dancers are welcome to make up any missed class at any time during the season. Simply check our schedule and attend any Tiny Tots class that fits your schedule. When you arrive, just let the instructor know that your dancer is attending as a makeup student, and we'll be happy to welcome them into class.

Q: Do we have to participate in the recital?

A: No. Participation in our annual recital is completely optional.

That said, nearly all of our Tiny Tots families choose to participate because recital is often one of the most rewarding parts of the dance season. It gives dancers a chance to showcase everything they have learned, build confidence, and experience the excitement of performing on stage in a fun and supportive environment. For many families, recital becomes a special milestone and a cherished memory. Seeing your dancer in costume, performing under the stage lights, and celebrating their accomplishments alongside family and friends is an experience that many parents look forward to all season long.

While participation is never required, we encourage families to consider recital as a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their dancer's growth and hard work throughout the year.

Q. What if we decide our dancer isn't ready?

A. We encourage families to give their dancer at least a month to acclimate to class. Starting a new activity can be a big adjustment for young children, and it often takes a few weeks for dancers to become comfortable with their instructors, classmates, and classroom routines. If at any point you decide that your dancer is not ready to continue, simply send an email to the studio so we can properly process your withdrawal. A 30-day notice is required for all withdrawals. Tuition will continue through the 30 days following your withdrawal notice, and your dancer is welcome to continue attending classes during that time.
